After returning to India in 2019, Yarasingu Durga Prasad became increasingly aware of how quickly ordinary situations can become unsafe—and how difficult it can be for the right information to reach the right people when someone needs help.

The 2019 Hyderabad veterinarian case deeply affected him. She had communicated that she was afraid and sought help from someone she trusted. The tragedy raised a difficult question that stayed with him:

"When a person becomes vulnerable, how can the right information reach the right people, and how can the right response be coordinated before the situation becomes irreversible?"

That question became the beginning of a much broader journey.

THE FOUNDER STORY

From 2020 onward, Prasad began independently studying safety, risk, emergencies, and real-world response situations across different environments. He looked beyond individual incidents and began examining how people, families, travellers, workplaces, venues, communities, security teams, organizations, and emergency responders interact when something goes wrong.

What emerged was a recurring problem:

"The challenge is not always detecting risk. The challenge is coordinating what happens next."

A warning may exist. Someone may notice a danger. A security team may be nearby. A family member may be trying to help. A response team may have the ability to intervene.

But when information is fragmented, responsibilities are unclear, or the right people cannot coordinate quickly enough, valuable time can be lost.

Prasad came to believe that safety should not depend only on whether someone happens to know whom to call, where to go, or how to coordinate a response in a crisis.

That belief became the foundation of RONGOshield.

Over time, the question evolved from understanding individual safety situations to understanding the larger coordination gap behind them.

Prasad began to see that solving this problem would require more than another alert, another security service, or another emergency contact. It required a system capable of connecting safety intelligence, decision-making, coordination, and authorized human response.

That became the reason to build RONGOshield.

In 2025, GoRONGO Private Limited was incorporated, transforming years of independent problem exploration into a technology venture focused on safety intelligence and coordination.

At the centre of this vision are:

Together, the vision is to help transform fragmented safety signals into meaningful context, coordinated decisions, and accountable human response.

RONGOshield is designed to help connect authorized decision-makers with designated response teams, including trained security personnel, emergency responders, and, where appropriate, experienced veterans and former military personnel operating within defined roles and applicable legal frameworks.

RONGOshield is not intended to replace people who protect and respond.

It is intended to connect them better.

The broader public-welfare mission is simple:

"A safety signal should not end with an alert. It should have a path to understanding, coordination, and accountable human action."

Whether the situation involves an individual, a family, a traveller, a workplace, a public venue, a community, or an organization, the underlying need is the same: when something goes wrong, people should have a better chance of getting the right information, the right coordination, and the right help at the right time.

That is the problem Prasad set out to understand.

And it is the mission he continues to build toward through RONGOshield.
